AMQP Module

AMQP 0-9-1 and RabbitMQ connectivity for Ignition 8.3

Connect Ignition 8.3 to RabbitMQ and any AMQP 0-9-1 broker. Named broker connections, an Event Stream source and handler, system.amqp scripting, and a MassTransit-compatible topology preset.

Free in Ignition trial mode · €1,600 per gateway, perpetual · Basic Care updates 20% per year

What this module gives you

Broker connections as first-class config

Brokers are configured under Config, Connections, next to your database and device connections. Named connections, tested at save time, with credentials held in Ignition secret providers.

Event Stream source and handler

Consume from a queue into an Event Stream, or publish an Event Stream to an exchange, with full Designer editors and hover help on every field.

Scripting that works everywhere

system.amqp.publish and friends work from gateway scripts, tag events and the Designer. Failed publishes raise real Python exceptions instead of failing quietly.

Talks to MassTransit out of the box

A built-in topology preset creates the exchanges, queues and bindings a MassTransit service expects, so Ignition joins an existing .NET messaging estate without a translation layer.

Delivery you can reason about

Acknowledgement mode, prefetch, publisher confirms and dead-letter handling are all explicit settings, so back-pressure and failure behaviour are choices rather than surprises.

Made by Ignition integrators

Built by the Mustry team out of real plant-floor integration work, and supported by the people who run it in production.

Why this module exists

Plenty of Ignition sites already have a message broker in the building, usually RabbitMQ, carrying events between services that are not SCADA. Getting Ignition onto that bus normally means scripted AMQP clients that nobody owns: no connection management, no reconnect story, no visibility when they stop. This module makes the broker a configured connection like any other, so the integration is something you can see, test and hand over.

What you get

An Ignition module, a user manual covering install through to a working source and handler, and a configuration walkthrough for your gateway. The Event Stream module is an optional dependency: broker connections and system.amqp work without it, and the AMQP source and handler light up when it is present. Updates are available through our Basic Care module at 20% of the module price per year.
